Hello, I’m Danielle
I am a creative problem-solver with a passion for tackling complex marketing challenges. With experience spanning multiple industries, I specialize in optimizing end-to-end marketing operations while keeping stakeholders happy.
Where the Marketing Journey Began…
I was marketing before I even knew what I was truly doing - making posters for college movie nights and thinking up strategies to drive engagement. After declaring my major in Business and realizing my preference for marketing, joining the American Marketing Association, CSUF chapter felt like a great next step. I took a position within the chapter’s event team where I planned multiple networking events, coordinating with sponsors and collaborated with other chapter members.
By the time graduation was in sight, I had been volunteering and working multiple jobs for several years, one of which as a server at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. With my notable work ethic and fresh marketing knowledge, I earned the opportunity to work in their corporate office as a Marketing Coordinator. During my time there, I spearheaded partnerships between organizations to support new restaurants opening across California, Texas and Nevada, maintained promotional materials and campaigns for all 21 locations, and performed competitor research. This experience exposed me to every facet of a successful campaign launch from training and technical support to public advertising and coordination across departments.
Building an In-House Marketing Department
After Lazy Dog, I turned to AutoCrib, Inc., where they needed a digital marketing specialist to bring their marketing to the next level. My first objective was transitioning all existing marketing from a third party firm to in-house. I migrated everything including Google Analytics, Google Ads, social channels, and website.
After developing technical skills in HTML and CSS to optimize our website, I recognized the need to scale our operations and hired a dedicated web developer. This strategic handoff allowed me to pivot fully into growth marketing. Tasked with identifying new markets, I conducted extensive research into our product value propositions to develop targeted promotional videos, blog content, and a strategic trade show presence. After presenting these go-to-market materials to over 100 nationwide distributors, the initiative secured major contracts with notable Fortune 500 companies and government agencies within months of launch.
AutoCrib allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of B2B marketing, build stronger management skills and apply growth strategies from automations to launching successful campaigns.
From Coordination to Scaling Operations & Marketing Technology
In 2018, I moved from Southern California and joined Red Oak Realty in the San Francisco Bay Area. My role started with producing marketing materials for an average of 10-25 listings weekly, including flyers, postcards, luxury property brochures and custom websites. After learning more about Red Oak, the real estate market, and the needs of our agents, I piloted a client retention program which got very positive feedback within months of launching. Years later, this program has been scaled by over 200% while cutting costs and maintaining product quality.
In mid-2019, Red Oak Realty acquired another brokerage, and my role shifted toward custom design work, ad campaigns, and agent recruitment strategy. One success during this time revolved around growing our agent base; this required more sophisticated design work, custom postcard campaigns and brochures as well as mocked up visualizations to help the prospective agents see their move to our brokerage more clearly. The visualization strategy led to a 90% close rate on proactive inquiries of high-performing agents from competing brokerages. Other notable achievements included establishing a strong brand compliance framework to allow for more flexibility in personal branding and training agents on legal marketing standards to minimize legal incidents due to misleading advertising which was reduced to 0 related cases over a course of 4 years.
With my proven record of success and natural leadership skills, I became responsible for managing a small team of marketers and accessing our martech stack, where I not only learned to hone my leadership skills but also delved further into the different platforms we used for evaluation and optimization. This led to rolling out a new CRM (Cloze), project management tools (Hive), industry-specific platforms (Zillow Workspace, MAXA, Luxury Presence), and updating our file management systems; each reaching over 80% team adoption within 3 months of launch. I also optimized our intranet to improve internal usage and oversaw the creation and implementation of an internal AI tool that helped the team quickly find answers to commonly asked questions. The deployment of these platforms cut turnaround time by 55%.
Recently, I redesigned core operational workflows and trained other departments on new procedures - cutting review cycles and enabling the team to support a higher client volume without adding headcount. My role at Red Oak has taught me the power of a martech stack and how the right platforms can reduce time and establish cleaner workflows that allow a team to operate at a higher capacity.
“You truly had an amazing impact on my work experience. Thank you for all the opportunities and support. You are such a kind, smart and creative human being It means the world to me to know that you believe in me!”
Taking the Playbook Independent
My experience and keen eye for strategy brought unlikely business to my door, and I built a marketing consulting practice supporting an array of industries like event planning, automotive, food & beverage and more. Recognized for my analytical and strategic nature, I created multi-channel marketing strategies to drive measurable growth that were seamlessly repeatable through paid social, email, and content including paid ad campaigns for a client that averaged a 17.6% CTR against a 2-5% industry standard, and fully custom, brand-aligned websites launched in 1-2 months. This practice lets me apply my experience across different industries, flexing a muscle that keeps me relevant no matter where I go next.
What’s Next
I’m looking for my next big challenge where I can continue optimizing systems, evaluating and implementing strong martech stacks, and leading teams with growth as a mission. If you are looking for an expert in process design, technology implementation, website development, or turning dashboards into informed decisions that you can act on, let’s talk - I’d love to see how we can work together to grow your marketing strategy.
